Henry Cavill Announces Mike Flanagan and Blur Studio for Warhammer 40,000

Amazon has announced new talent attached to their upcoming Warhammer 40,000 streaming projects. The massive corporation and its executive producers have announced new talent attached to several projects, including CG animation house Blur Studio, and a certain acclaimed horror film director.

New Talent for Warhammer 40,000 Streaming

The new talent working on the Warhammer 40,000 streaming projects were announced through a string of social media posts by Henry Cavill. Cavill, most well known for his roles in Mission Impossible - Fallout, Man of Steel, of Netflix's The Witcher, has become a notable executive producer on Amazon's Warhammer 40,000 streaming projects, working alongside Natalie Viscuso and Vertigo Entertainment.

In the social media posts, Cavill has announced that Mike Flanagan will be writing and directing a live-action series set within Games Workshop's iconic grimdark sci-fi world. Flanagan is one of Hollywood's most beloved horror directors most well known for adaptations of Stephen King novels Gerald's Game and Doctor Sleep, and several well-received Netflix series like Midnight Mass and Haunting of Hill House.

The second project announced in this post is that Blur Studio will be working on an animated series. The animated series will focus on the Deathwatch, basically a special ops chapter of Space Marines dedicated to taking out notable rising threats by enemies of the Imperium of Man.

This announcement is particularly exciting for dedicated fans since Blur Studio has already demonstrated what they bring to Warhammer 40,000 through the Amazon animated anthology series, Secret Level. One of their episodes was dedicated to Warhammer 40,000, specifically showing the Space Marine Captain Titus locating and eliminating a rising Chaos threat on an alien world. Almost no dialogue, tons of action, lots of spilled alien blood.

The post ends coyly with Cavill stating he still plans on starring in the upcoming live-action Warhammer 40,000 streaming shows, but he has yet to reveal who he is playing. At the time of writing there is no set release date for any of these projects.
