Lies of P Sequel May Be Called Wonders of O, According to New Trademark

A newly filed trademark may have revealed the title of the upcoming Lies of P sequel. As first spotted by ResetEra user Jakeb, Neowiz has filed a European Union trademark for Wonders of O, a name that immediately brings The Wonderful Wizard of Oz and the Lies of P’s post-credits scene to mind.

The Wonders of O trademark, filed with the European Union Intellectual Property Office, covers video game software and several related entertainment services. It also follows the same naming structure as Lies of P, replacing Pinocchio with what appears to be a reference to Oz.

While a trademark does not guarantee that Wonders of O will be the sequel’s final name, there are far too many connections for this to feel like a coincidence.

Back in 2024, I discussed where Neowiz and Round8 Studios could take the series next. After completing Lies of P, players were treated to a post-credits scene in which Paracelsus discussed the Krat experiment and his search for another “key.” That conversation was followed by the appearance of Dorothy, complete with her iconic ruby slippers, walking through Krat and clicking her heels three times.

At the time, it was clear that Round8 was setting up something much larger than another story centered entirely around Pinocchio. I was excited by the possibility that Lies of P could expand into other classic stories and fairy tales while giving them the same dark and twisted treatment that worked so well with The Adventures of Pinocchio.

We now know that Lies of P: Overture was a prequel that explored the past of Krat rather than continuing the Dorothy storyline. That left the original game’s post-credits scene unresolved and waiting for the actual sequel to pick it back up. Wonders of O certainly sounds like it could be that continuation.

Neowiz previously confirmed that a Lies of P sequel was in development, but the company has not officially announced its title, setting, protagonist, platforms, or release window. If Wonders of O is connected to the sequel, Dorothy could take over as its central character while the series moves beyond Krat and into its own nightmarish interpretation of Oz.

Of course, we don’t know if this means the next game will move on from P as being the main character, if Dorothy will replace him, or even a dual protagonist system. What I do know is that the mysterious organization that is pulling the strings isn’t done with P, so take it what you will.

Of course, we should stress that Neowiz has not officially announced Wonders of O as the title of the Lies of P sequel. Companies frequently trademark names before revealing their plans, and some trademarks are never used publicly. Still, between the title, Neowiz’s ownership of the filing, and the Dorothy tease that has been sitting in front of us since 2023, the pieces fit together remarkably well.

And honestly, if Round8 can do for The Wonderful Wizard of Oz what it did for Pinocchio, sign me up. I’ve been waiting years to see where that Dorothy scene leads, and Wonders of O may finally be our answer.
