Witch on the Holy Night Manga Adaptation Announced With Shikimori Creator Keigo

Type-Moon has announced that a Witch on the Holy Night manga adaptation is in the works and will be illustrated by Keigo Maki, the creator of Shikimori’s Not Just a Cutie. The new series will begin serialization in issue 50 of Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine, releasing in Japan on November 11, 2026.

The announcement included a promotional video featuring Haruka Tomatsu as Aoko Aozaki and Yusuke Kobayashi as Soujuurou Shizuki.

Witch on the Holy Night follows a trio who live together in an old Western mansion on the outskirts of a Japanese town. Rumor says a witch lives there, and that might not be so far-fetched. Aoko Aozaki studies sorcery in the area under Alice Kuonji’s tutelage.

During the Showa Era, a young man named Soujuurou Sizuki meets them both. He comes from the countryside and slowly adjusts to the new reality of city high school. Eventually, he encounters these two mages under the most unconventional circumstances, sparking a curious set of bonds.

Witch on the Holy Night is available on PlayStation 4, PC via Steam, and Nintendo Switch. A mobile version will be released on November 20, 2026.

The Witch on the Holy Night movie will be released in Japan on November 20, 2026. The global release will be on January 29, 2027.
